Unusual Year

This year, July has 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays and 5 Sundays. This happens
once every 823 years.

This year we're going to experience four unusual dates.

1/1/11, 1/11/11, 11/1/11, 11/11/11 and that's not all...

Take the last two digits of the year in which you were born - now add
the age you will be this year,

The results will be 111 for everyone in whole world (apparently - does it work for you?) :?

********On topic alert******
Not true next one will be 2016 then 2022,2033,2039........
It happens on average every seven years ( leap years get in the way) when July 1st is a friday since July always has 31 days and a week always has 7 days july will have 5 friday, sats, suns everytime the months starts on a Friday.
The dates follow a 6-5-6-11 pattern so the next year with 5 fris, 5 sats, 5 suns will be 5 years time, then another 6 then another 11 then 6 etc etc.

The Last 10p

A father walks into a restaurant with his young son.
He gives the young boy three 10p coins to play with to keep him occupied.
Suddenly, the boy starts choking and going blue in the face....
The father realises the boy has swallowed the coins and starts slapping him on the back..
The boy coughs up 2 of the 10p's but is still choking.
Looking at his son, the father is panicking, shouting for help.
A well dressed, attractive, and serious looking woman, in a blue business suit is sitting at a coffee bar reading a newspaper and sipping a cup of coffee.
At the sound of the commotion, she looks up, puts her coffee cup down, neatly folds the newspaper, places it on the counter, gets up from her seat and makes her way, unhurried, across the restaurant.
Reaching the boy, the woman carefully pulls down his pants; takes hold of the boy's' testicles and starts to squeeze and twist, gently at first and then ever so firmly, tighter and tighter !!!
After a few seconds the boy convulses violently and coughs up the last of the 10p's, which the woman deftly catches in her free hand.
Releasing the boy's testicles, the woman hands the coin to the father and walks back to her seat at the coffee bar without saying a word.
As soon as he is sure that his son has suffered no ill effects, the father rushes over to the woman and starts thanking her saying, "I've never seen anybody do anything like that before, it was fantastic. Are you a doctor? "
'No,' the woman replied.

This magazine is an issue that I used to own and I know it has a good piece on a Lotus engined Sprint, I often wonder where that Sprint is now.
Here it is on Ebay.

When all else has failed and you think it is time to go into panic mode have a thought for your passengers and do try to stay calm, the flaw with plan is that is but the time you have remember your evasive driving training you have already spun the car, hit the armco and landed upside down in the drainage ditch and for some strange reason whilst hanging upside down still seat belted in you have a strange urge for a cheese buger, not any old cheese burger but one made with real gratted cheese.

Today I mended my DVD player, the one I liberated from the university's WEEE skip last year (it was playing at being a submarine). The water drained nicely and after 2 months the VCR worked well. The DVD less so until I attacked it with the soldering iron and huzzah, sound and picture and no funny smells. Now to plug it back in and I shall finally have a complete "entertainment system". By which I mean DVD/VCR/Betamax/TV/PS2/ZX. Just need to raid a freeview box from somewhere before they turn of my signal.
