#1 Post by Bob Leyland »

Hi all, just thought i would say a quick hello to you all and introduce myself, i have just purchased a 77 1500 HL after many years of being without a dolly, my first car was also a 1500 HL! so i will be along with some pics of it soon, and i will be getting my membership off to the club through the post soon, so expect lots of questions from me about the car over the next few months as i embark on my crusade with it :D

Cheers

Bob :bluewave:

Hi Marty, yep its great to be back in the fold so to speak, i too must admit that all the OHC cars are a bit overrated, the little OHV lumps with all their faults are perfectly charming in my opinion, still i have some big plans a foot for my new car, do you know i stll have some old new parts in my loft from the first time around! i remember in the 90's my partner Dave chucked out a brand new front bumper!! he didnt get any for a few weeks after that i can tell you!!!!!

Its a small world, the registery office on station hill used to be the station Inn pub where a few of used to drink in the days before the landlord asked for ID, I was about 14 when i started drinking in there.
And even weirder when I was assistant manager of the London Inn in Bedminster, Bristol the guy who done some of the decorating was related to landlord of the Railway inn.
