Thanks for the last two replies, will go and have a look at the front earth later today and report back...
If failing, would I need to get a new flash relay or new flash unit (the rectangular shaped one as per the 1500TC haynes manual)?
There seems to be confusion with the Triumph Classic car parts people I'm phoning...
