North Hampshire monthly meet - November

#1 Post by Carl »

Tuesday November 1st ~8pm onwards at the Crooked Billet on the A30 in Hook. Bring well wrapped, and not necessarily motoring related, tat for the naff raffle. If you've already won some shite, remember; no recycling back in for at least 6 months

Please note that we are having our Christmas bash on Tuesday December 6th at the same venue so we'll be taking £5 deposits and menu choices at this one. If you're interested in coming along but can't make next week, pm me and I'll send you the menu. Let me know your selection and I'm sure we can sort out the deposit. Basically it's £17 for two courses, £22 for three. Good value last year so we're doing it again. Might even be a proper raffle with decent prizes ie stuff you might actually like (well, it is Christmas  )

See you there ?

Well, there used to be an audio cleaning kit that kept popping up with a little bit more missing from it each time. There was also the small glass animal that someone tried to leave in the window of the pub but the landlord cottoned on and returned it the following month

(occassionally the landlord donates some of the brewery freebies to the cause, got some excellent beer glasses a while back)

hmmm, I'm now at uni in soton till gone 7pm some days, so it's pushing it to get there at an reasonable time (by the time I've been home and had food), but I'll try to make both. The xmas meal sounds good, I'll see how I do for timings for the November one before committing

Right, Im off work tomorrow so if I can get the new car collected fit the springs and get it MOT'd, fit the clutch to the 1500, sort the bodywork on the KA and fit the engine to the HL then I may be able to make it to the meet in the TC (if it rains then I'll bring the modern) :D

Excellent turn out last night, no less than five Dolly people ! It's a new record for the area. Good turn out overall and plenty of 'prizes' in the raffle with Justyn's first contributions scoring a ten on the naff-ometer (hope you make good use of the handkerchiefs Oli  ). I am particularly pleased with my 'pirate pen'. Good to see everyone anyway, let's do it all again next month
