.....and a big Thank you to the nice green-with-a-white-roof MK 1 Triumph 2000 that let me into the traffic queue this morning on the A329 .Plus Wave-wave ! Yes, you get the award of Today's Top Spot . I can't remember the last time I saw one of those other than at a show. And to meet like that was a real pleasure.
Wasn't traffic bad today .
Never mind that quite brightened up my day .
Tony.

The 68 route doesn't go to Trafalgar Square, it should have either West Norwood or Euston in the window! Should be number 19 with the shown route

1962 Austin Mini (project)

Yes thank you Howard, whilst parked at Lyndhust (New Forest) at least three passing folk also told me that, I did already know but couldn't be arsed to changed the blinds although the rear blinds are correctly displayed.
The bus was garaged at Norwood during its service days in London.

:eyes4u: @ the very early MK1 Cooper! Or was it an 'S'? It's impossible to tell without more evidence so please go back and find out, Alan. :D

Out for a drive in the Tc so far seen a triumph 2000,-a stag, spitty and an MG the driver gave me a wave, and as I'm typing an old yank just drove by possibly a Cadillac.

AS per JPB's comment, very early as it has the correct front valance , later ones had a step cut out to allow more air to the brakes. This has a taller brake master cylinder but not sure if that was a Cooper S feature or because of the disc brakes.

That master cylinder was how I arrived at the conclusion that we were looking at a Cooper but like yourself, Malcolm, I'm not sure whether that's for both disc-braked cars or only the S which had bigger discs than the 997. If it's an S, then it must be the ultra-rare 1071 as I think - but could well be wrong of course - that 1275s would all have the later valance with the cutouts. Either way, it's one highly desirable mini and one that's going to be a stunner when it's all finished.

....... Today, I actually managed to see a Gordon-Keeble on the A1. :eyes4u: :eyes4u: :eyes4u:

Edited: wretched predictive keyboard on this phone wanted to say "Jedward" instead of "Keeble". Darned if I know how it thinks I'd want to write about that pair of clowns.

At the MK1 mini forum HERE for those of us who can't visit popclass.

Turns out it's a 1960 Se7en so not a Cooper at all. Do I care? Not likely, I still want it badly. :eyes4u:

Earlier post edited, I did a bit of lateral thinking :D . (The phone would connect via the same wireless router as the desktop at home so would have the same IP address, but this work machine is on the list too. Must just point out that this doesn't bother me though and no offence was meant to anyone).
