Essex Area Meeting
Hi
Who would like to have a monthly Essex Meet, probably some time from spring.
What day of the month would you prefer?
How far are people willing to travel?
Kids welcome and pets welcome?
Got some ideas please get in touch.
There are some lovely parts of Essex. So we could change where meets are each month, I'm going to a CT monthly meet soon to see what they do.
Many Thanks
Darren

Re: Essex Area Meeting
I'm game to pop over the county border, just pot luck if I'm busy or not though.
Booking practical test in the morning for the end of march, so this'll give me a reason not to fail the sodding thing

Good Luck Mate,
Hopefully we can get some more yes's and maybe's.
Once I get a list of member's in the Essex area and make contact with them I can try and sort something.
Many Thanks

Re: ESSEX MEET 7PM WEDNESDAY 11TH APRIL
Hi
11th April will be the first Essex meet for quite some time and will be held at Great Bentley Village Green from 7pm onwards.
The village is situated between Colchester and Clacton just off the A133.
There is a small pub called the Plough nearby and also there is usually a local bike meeting. usually in excess of 2000 bikes meet there.
Hopefully I will see some members/also non members welcome.
I am still triumphless a the moment so I will be in a blue fiat multipla.
All the best

Re: Essex Area Meeting
Well on Wednesday we had a club night, unfortunately nobody turned up from the TDC.
But a good night was had by all, we all met up at the back of a hotel just of the A12 at Rivenhall and made our way via convoy. Once at the Hurdlemakers we checked to see if any more peeps had turned up. Then carried on a 30 mile jaunt around the Essex countryside. I went with Colin who took a TR4a, very nice car indeed.
Hopefully some TDC members will turn up soon.
Some pics of the cars that attended:

Re: Essex Area Meeting
That green TR4 looks very familiar to me. Wouldn't happen to have twin Webers (amongst other goodies) on it by any chance?

If that is the case and it is the one I think it is, then I know that car, and its history very well.DazasDolly wrote:I think so, i'm very sure it has.

EDIT: That's not the one I know, although take the numberplates off with the two of them parked together and I reckon I'd be hard pressed to tell the difference...
