Yesterday walking in the rain I came across a big Blobby Bubble of a car being restored, The owner claims its an "Austin Atlantic Convertible. Now, I'm getting on a bit, but I dont remember ever seeing one of these around, Is it a late April fool or did they exist? Pictures will follow once I dry the Brownie out! Ugly as sin!
Yep, defo one of those, black and chrome with red upholstery, looked a lot uglier then those, big brute of a thing, A30 on steroids? Even the steering wheel is huge! maybe when its finished I'll grow to like it, its just up the road next to the healey 100/6 I crave!
For Sale too, as I was taking the picture one of the men loading the stuff into the Vectra was shouting out "buy it, buy it!" I am sure I could hear some desperation in his voice too!
S'gotta very odd stance to it and presumably a very odd engine from that bonnet bulge, there was once a fad for dropping these bodies over Range Rover chassis' , it's not one of them is it? Steve

I'll post the link to this thread at R3W and see whether anyone on there will admit to having abused and disfigured that once-lovely example of the best thing to come out of Staffordshire since the toilet was invented.
Sticking them on a RR chassis is one thing and some have been done very well indeed but that, on the other hand, is just vulgar.

Today I saw this 1975 Honda;
Which I believe is 400/4 Super Sport(?)
Always liked the look of these, a well proportioned shape that could almost described as handsome I reckon.
