Bexhill Classic & Custom Car Show - Monday 27th

#1 Post by Powderfinger »

Is anyone else considering going along to the Bexhill 100 MC show on bank holiday Monday? It looks like a fairly good show with some autojumble. £3 entry.

More details here and here.

I'm hopefully going down in convoy with my dad in the Metro and Dolomite and will be planning an interesting drive down. If anyone is interested I'll put up the route on here for a Dolomite convoy? We'll be leaving from Crowborough before 9 and aiming for Bexhill before 2, possibly with a lunch stop along the way.

James

EDIT: My provisional route plan so far here

Toodled on down to this one!

Drove down to the inlaws (father in law is an ex-Chairman of the Bexhill 100 Club which runs the show and in fact up until recently I used to be very heavily involved in the Club myself!) at Bexhill on Sunday afternon/ evening round the M25 in the GT6 with Julie riding shotgun in the Dolly. Surprised to be joined briefly by a Carmine Sprint just before the QE2 bridge - 3 Triumphs in convoy!

Show was blessed with great weather on Monday - they have been very lucky with the weather over the 8 years and had a great turnout. Most vehicles ever from what I could see.

Saw a Honeysuckle 1500TC but apart from ours, the only other Dolly.

Had a great day - an 8 hour picnic :D (about the first year I haven't spent 12 hours marshalling/ setting up/ taking down at the show), met up with some friends, had some great chats with owners and some great cars to drool over. My shopping list of cars to buy "If money were no object" is growing worryingly fast  .

Cheers
Jeff
