VDM 469R 1850HL Where are you??????

#1 Post by bluetriumphsteve »

Does anyone know the whereabouts of VDM 469R Its a Blue 1850 Dolly HL. I used to own this Blue Dolomite a few years back. Last I saw it someone had put it on eBay with a blown head gasket, this was two years ago, I just missed my opertunity to buy it back. As far as I'm away its back on the road, but I'd love to see the car again. If the owner is on hear I'd even consider making them an offer on it. I do miss this car, it was a good dolly, and I have may photots to share of it

This is the info from the DVLA:

Date of Liability 01 04 2013
Date of First Registration 17 02 1977
Year of Manufacture 1977
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1854cc
CO2 Emissions Not Available
Fuel Type PETROL
Export Marker N
Vehicle Status SORN Not Due
Vehicle Colour BLUE
Vehicle Type Approval Not Available

This means that the car is road legal so it must be out there somewhere. I'm sure you can request the present keeper's details from the DVLA.

The uploader has done a few other vids, mainly car walkarounds, but this one could well be his own. He's still active and uploading, try to contact him. Steel yourself though, at least one of his other cars in his vids he's scrapped.

HAHAHA this is my video!!! Cheers but this is no help as its one of my own videos I uploaded when I owned the car.

That Spitfire 1500 in the videos I owned when I lived with my parents and drove it everyday for 2 1/2 years as a daily driver. It failed its MOT and they wouldn't let me fit new sills to it. Dispute being a mechanic for a living and restoring cars on the side they still said no. That's another car I miss but was gutted to sell on. The Spitfire Graveyard at Sheffield broken up it up over eBay. The TR6s in the videos are all ones that have been maintained and restored by me, they are mostly customers cars, although one of them is mine. I would love to get my dolly back and have it with my TR6

Cheers anways

Photo taken from the same place as I took the youtube video being 21 at the time I couldn't afford to run both the Spitfire and the Dolly, so the dolly sat there under a tarpolin for months on end. Now I'm that bit older (coff 26) and currently running two cars, and moved out from the parents I'm on the hunt to get my old dolly back!!

I compleatly agree, except the only place to do the job was my parents house, and they said no. I couldn't do it at work, and I couldn't afford to pay someone to do it, so sadly I had to get rid of my spitty (best car I ever owned), but I don't really want to talk about it, it just upset me.

Anyways mores to the point, I'd like to find out where my dolly is now and see if I can get it back or at least see it again. Its a car I regreat selling, it was intended that I did it up in the future, but my gran passed away and I had no where to keep it so it had to go. Now that bit older, and with my own place I'd love to see if I could find my dolly, and maybe buy it back

Last I knew of it someone had stuck fibre glass front wings on it and the head had blown, it was on ebay at the end of 2010, so where are you now VDM?

Cheers

Let's hope that this car is still on the road and can be located...

On another note, what are those natty alloy wheels the Dolly is wearing...! Are they Wolfrace Sonics?!
