Dolly Sprint triumphs at Ohio, USA show
I took my white 1977 Sprint to a British car show today at Ft. Meigs, Ohio.
She took 2nd place...
Of course there was no class for Dolomites, so I got lumped in with the TR6s. No matter, because OMK 172R did just fine.
Everyone who stopped to look at the car had something nice to say about Dolomites in general and Sprints in particular. Dollys are really starting to get a following in the USA.

USA/Sprints
Richard, nice to hear you say the Sprint went down well, especially with all the cool home-grown cars your side of the pond.
Funnily enough, my wife is quite set on resuming working in the States in the next 2 years. I always imagined bringing the Torino and Rod over with me, but was sure the Sprint would have to be moved on. You've got me thinking now.........

There are more car guys and collectors in Detroit, probably, than just about anywhere.
These are people, many auto industry engineers are car designers, who like more than just American stuff. They've read up on all the weird foreign cars that we never saw.
And the Dolly Sprint scores extremely well because of its classic styling and impressive mechanical pedigree.
