Looks like the war will have to be cancelled there's no way the MODs budget will stretch to paying a clamp removal fee and we all know the law says you may not damage a clamp in order to remove it.

Iain Duncan Smith throws a sheep in a swamp so Cameron can get good press for a change.

When questioned, Mr Duncan Smith said "The animal wasn't working, its food was being paid for by a hardworking taxpayer and it had room for 3 additional cows in its barn. Leaving it to sink or swim on its own was the only thing to do".

So, the "get it roadworthy" part of my automotive baptism of fire is complete.
Now the fun begins.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses.
Hit it.

I thought I had a big electrical problem on the old Ford, and as the norm with all things electrical, it would be a bugger to trace it. Relays, motors and as usual the multimeter will be involved..finally built up the patience to have a look..it turned out that the fuse had fallen out! :)

Ah, the relief! 8)

Oh no, I'm getting automotive itchy feet. This does not bode well. Anyone fancy swappage with a Tolly?
