"Oi mate, is that an Escort?"
No, it's a Dolomite.
"A what?"
A Triumph Dolomite.
"Oh right, what year is it?"
1978.
"Cool, bet they cost a lot?"
No. This one was under a grand, it was one colour then too.
"Is it fast?"
Not even close.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses.
Hit it.

Being tricked into spending £130 that I didn't have on a new TV for my father on the proviso that he would pay it back as soon as he got home as he had forgotten his PIN, and then discovering that he had not intended to do so as he didn't have the funds himself is not a good feeling.

Really not happy about this as I have to tax 2 cars at the end of next week. ARRRGGGGHHHHHH!

Arrghhhh! Just stabbed a 9kt Longines to death

That's what comes of trying to work 12 hours straight on small fiddly stuff to cach up on last weekend! Luckily, it's not a fatal death, just a temporary one and about an extra hour's work (afte I take a break this time)

OD gearbox swap, exhaust manifold repair, clutch change, rear crankshaft oil seal change, coilover fitting and a general bay tidy. Ambitious for one day?

One of my regulars came in yesterday, I charged her £5 for a screw while she waited. I think that's reasonable.....
