A blast from the past. Good luck with the resto. Glad you saved it. If I remember correctly Fast Car magazine followed up with articles on sprint tuning as they were so impressed with the performance of this car.

Ahum, maybe the most went to Holland? Three March sprint F3 engines, dry sump systems, lots of st parts etc., LSD's
But for these parts, what is in Holland, stay's in Holland. :D

Rimmer got the trimclips etc.

And who would be interested in a sprint camcover with a Gerry Marchall tag anyway..... :suntan:

Not done much today as it's my wedding anniversary.

Did get away with an hour in the garage cleaning the engine up, found the engine number, it has a CG prefix, so after a google search I believe it is a TR7 block.

It may have been selected because all the bores are identical as it is stamped GGGG.

Finally finished the back axle, rebuilt the existing Girling wheel cylinders with new seals.

Had the brake drums skimmed by a guy at work (in his lunchtime of course  )

New copper brake pipes, I made a bracket for the top of the diff cover, saw something similar on another resto thread, there is a folded bracket on the back of the diff case but I could see how to fix the brake pipe to it & I didn't want it vibrating & rubbing which could wear through the pipe.

Getting exciting now, I am going to the paint shop tomorrow, hopefully the shell will have been painted, so should have it back next week to start the rebuild.

Cheers Lee, quick compared to yours

Cleaned & painted the sump today, the sump has had a baffle added at sometime in the past.

Front cover, sump & a few other bits back on the engine.
