I probably have a tasteful chrome petrol cap somewhere. Next best thing to step covers (some replacement ones so you can keep yours for show days!)
There are a few people on here with chroming contacts I think....

There are quite a few ways to accessorise your Dolomite. Some much more tasteful than others. Here is a short list of what I can think of:
Thanks

Bullet-shaped door mirrors
Wing-mounted mirrors
Rally-style mesh headlight covers
Rear window louvers

All sorts of Triumph stickers

You could always try adding a few gauges - an oil pressure gauge is essential IMHO and very easy to fit - and more gauges looks nice (you can never have enough gauges)
Depends on who's looking at it - a lot of people would prefer it without the gash sticky tape on the lenses and the black bonnet!
All personal opinion at the end of the day though.....

You could get some of the plastic defense sheeting that you use on toolboxes and hard-wearing areas, probably some on eBay somewhere - that'd defend your sidesteps against any damage or scratching but would require replacing now and then
Sprint spoiler is always a worthwhile addition, gives the impression that the front of the car is slightly lower too....You'd have to look at it though, as it can look out of place on some models though.
Set of Sprint alloys also can make the car look a whole lot better. Not necessarily expensive on their own but can be when you factor in tyres, wheel nuts and fitting/balancing...

The little chrome flags are neat too, they're 3D and really do look good on the side
You can also get a host of interior details - tax disc holders, Triumph branded gear knobs......Mountney steering wheels make the interior a nicer place to be:

Stick a decent photo up, let us play photoshop on it
As mentioned, an oil pressure and oil temperature gauge can be very worthwhile additions!
. Some examples:

Also, as mentioned:
Louvres and rear spoiler :

Yes, you should be able to - I'm not sure if they're availiable new at the moment but I recently fitted a set of excellent 2nd hand items, so they are out there:Can i get chrome wiper blades to match my wiper arms?

it was quater lights ,they are in the loft! I do have spare headlights as well but they can be got on the bay and from lucas(also fitted the allego and marina althogh the lens glass sticks out slightly more they are the same fitment.)
I should have some crome wiper blades minus the rubbers ,which can be bought from car shops. ,i bought as job lot last year but will have to look for them.

I wouldn't worry too much about the interior fading, especially if it's in good condition at the moment - I used my 1850 day in day out for 3 years, in blazing 30 degree heat and down to -10 and the interior didn't get worse
Seat covers just look like you're trying to cover up damaged seats and in my eyes they make the interior look worse!
I think the only real area to suffer is the top of the rear seats as these tend to be exposed the most - I had a Pistonheads flag across mine for some time, for example - but it didn't seem to get any worse without it anyway.
If it's lasted this long, you'd be unlucky for it to worsen all of a sudden!
All I did was hoover it now and then, make sure the wood was well fed and the trim occasionally tidied up!

KDU was perferct when I bought it three years ago. Parked outside since the UV has totalled the top of the back seat! A tasteful car blanket is all that is needed. If it's lasted this long, you'd be unlucky for it to worsen all of a sudden!
TRICO make (made) the stainless steel wiper blades...not cheap but available at most mainstream shows.

Door steps: I think you just need a set from an HL model. If I'm reading your post right you've got bare paintwork on most of the step and just a narrow alloy strip covering the door seal ends? HL cars have a much wider alloy plate that covers most of the step. Not sure if the fixings are the same, meet up with someone and compare. Some cunningness might be needed to fit wider treads without drilling extra holes.
