i can lend you most of the bits to try so you don't keep buying them, then just buy the bits you have proven to be broken.....others nearer?

been working on the 1500 TC (a little bit this weekend). No work can really start until I have made some space and got the welding done (an ex sprint owner friend is lined up for the task as soon as I have prepped it!)

probably need to fix the spitfire first as well, then the daily driver....then its the sprint, maybe....

Where are you checking for a spark, at the plug, at the lead end or at the king lead?

Several instances recently of ALL FOUR plugs going down simultaneously therefore giving the apparence of no spark!! Still haven't worked out why but its happened to two of my dollies and Jod's Spitfire...

...... at least two instances of this phenomenon occurring at the same address in Stourbridge. Sort of a Champion Bermuda Triangle.

Remember I’m know mechanic!
The recovery man got a belt as I turned the engine but where from?

I been told to remove the dizzy cap and rota arm then turn the engine see if any sparks come from the points, answer NO.
I’ve rocked the car to open the point’s fully adjusted points to 15 thou but still NO

I just don’t know

But there is a man on hand Mr Tinweevil will hopefully be around Thursday to fix

Thank you so much!

on 2 sprints....
Rotor arm shorts out to dizzy spindle...
Git to find cos king lead sparks away...just gets lost on the way to the plugs..

New rotor arm needed...

Probaly the original lucas one has been "interNOTmotored"

Hi Stoney,

Glad to help. Can't rememebr who I got my magnacors from but I don't think they were as cheap as sparkplugs. Frences autos will likely have a condenser on the shelf if you show them the box from the dodgy one and any old king lead will do if you need the car mobile soonest. Just pull the boot off one end and squidge it with pliers until it fits in the cap. Bodgit? Moi?

Crackin' beer BTW

With all those new parts she's got to be worth a lot more!
Anyway I’ve not received my bonus from work yet.

Then and only then I’ve got to find the perfect example

Could take years
