classic mini wiring issue?

#1 Post by whydidistartthis »

Haven't played with one of these for a while!
Not mine, but am helping a friend. Got some lighting issues, thought I would see if anyone on here can help?

It's a mini city E reg. Not getting any rear lights or instrument lighting. Headlights seem to work OK, but the front side lights only come on with the ignition on! This does not seem right to me? Don't know if it's related but hazard lights don't work either.

Don't have a manual or wiring diagram so starting with you chaps!

Any help please....

Most of the time it is down to a mucky fuse box! Remove it and clean it along with the connections on the loom.

The side light circuit is normally red and unfused...
It isn't normally wired through the ignition either.
