My attention may be diverted for a while! My Triumph has a new garage companion.
This is not mine, but I am just the spanner man for a friend.
Don't know too much about mini's, so looking for some helpful info.
Is there a mini forum comparable to this one?
Guess if I get stuck can always ask you guys...

Re: Garage companion/ mini forum?
I've not found a forum for minis anywhere near as good as this one. The most active forums are all about hi-los, flip fronts, straight cut gears, phat alloyz (with a z, always
) and other ways of expensively screwing up an otherwise decent car. I've had little success finding a good, helpful forum or club.
The best web site for parts reference info is Somerford Mini, this has recently got close to the standard we've enjoyed for well over a decade from Rimmers, Canley & Moss. The best parts book is the one SC Parts put out as their catalogue, it's worth buying from them once even at their high prices just for that. As to which supplier is best I can't say, there's no shortage of parts made too damn cheap to be any good in the mini world and all suppliers have some lines you'll regret ordering. Ordinary motor factors are worth a try, quite a lot is still available through regular channels. E.G. I've just put a recon starter on Mrs Weevils mini today that came from GMF cheaper than any specialist or ebay advertise.
You will find panel availability a dream compared to Dolomites, in come cases you'll have a choice of 3 manufacturers. Quality is entirely proportionate to cost in my experience.
