Top of the evening chaps,
I was just curious if any of you gentlemen or female types have any experience regarding the painting of the infamous splitter that covers up the ends of flakey valances oh so nicely?
I believe a 'colour coded' splitter would suit my car very much indeed, so just wondered the best way to go aboot this process.
Many thanks!
Łukasz

Re: How to go about painting splitters.
I assume you mean the chin spoiler?
I painted a spare one I had by rubbing it down with fine wet & dry paper, then I applied a PlastiKote aerosol primer (acrylic), then top coated in body colour. This is the result I had:

I lived with it for about a fortnight and just went off it completely - I thought it made the car look very 1980s?
So reverted to my original one:

Which to my eyes looked much more subtle.
But, as they say "it's your car...."
That's how I did it, as I only had it fitted for a short time I am not sure how durable a finish it was but it might give you a starting point?
