Toledo lower front wishbone query
Evening! Im in the process of re-bushing my front suspension, my toledo has front drums and my parts catalogue tells me for the lower front arm i need part number 153098 which rimmers say is no longer available. they do however do the full arm available to buy with a different type of bush fitted... UKC1698... however, the parts book i have says that the arm with this type of bush is for models with disc brakes only... has anyone done this before or know if its likely to be ok to fit? Cheers!

You can get a polybush to replace the inner bush where it joins the sub frame
I suspect Rimmers is selling the arm with a rose joint which is used on Dolomites.
This will be ok if its a genuine BL NOS one. Ask before buying.
This will do the job too, but it mat be better if both sides are the same.

Re: Toledo lower front wishbone query
I've just put a disc brake set (from a 1500HL) onto a drum braked Toledo without any sort of problem (unless a large tracking error - which may have been coincidental - is a problem) so I would imagine that Dolomite T/C arms can be fitted to a drum braked car. As has been said, I believe there is a difference in the style of the inner bush but that's all (BTW, my later disc braked Toledo also has the distinctive Toledo style bushes). I have both sorts of arm here and will try and get a length measurement for both if you like.

There's another thread current here about the covers. The concensus is to use the outer covers from a Herald/Spitfire etc lower trunnion bush kit which only need a little fettling to fit. Available from Triumph specialists everywhere and cheap - even if you are throwing 90% of the kit away!
