Hi Folks
Just turning the ignition on the sprints rev counter started to flick ? then refused to start, so changed back to points from electronic ignition to get me home ! bad misfire now but at least got home ! RAC had no idea !!!
Anyone have any ideas ?

I had a similar thing with mine, check the low tension wire going from the bottom of the dizzy to the coil

Check the connections on the rev counter itself too, there are 2 different sorts of rev counter, with one of them, the car will not run if it is disconnected or faulty!

If it's Lumenition a completely random rev counter is normal for me. Mine jumps from 0 - 7K on track all day long.
