Important: Sprint Servo Update

The reason for the failure of Sprint servos has apparently been established.

Testing out theories, the recon folk have determined that low fluid levels in the reservoir can cause the piston to punch it's way through the bakelite component in the servo; this component no longer being available from any source.

So keep an eye on your brake fluid levels folks, meanwhile an alternative solution is still being developed

Im assuming by low levels in the reservoir you mean the pedal travel is too much ie a leak or air in system?

For folk who put stainless sleeves into master cylinders, reducing a bore isn't an issue.

As I understand the observations they've made Tony it's piston travel not pedal travel that causes the damage. I'll be seeing them soon and get a first hand explanation rather than through a third party on the 'phone.

The important part is check fluid levels regularly.
