remove rear bumper on toledo

just been reading tolly book on how to remove/refit rear bumper.says have to remove petroltank?any body know if this is true?poss because of sides of bumper fitting to the body by the tankk.also anybody got right hand side for back bumper,or know of good chrome plater in west mids?

On a dolly you can get the back bolts in without removing the tank with a little dexterity.
Cant remember on a Tolly...only ever done one years ago.

On all my Toledos, I've had to remove the tank to get at the bumper bolt, its too close a fit to try and fiddle it out! Since removing the tank is little more than a ten minute job, why struggle?

thanks for comments guys,will not be changing until march ready for the seasons runs.have to re-chrome the one corner first.main thing in jan is to have g/box removed and rebuilt,as its a noisy one and also have clutch fitted ,then its mechanocally spot on.

Oh my word, another superb looking Toledo the same colour as mine (I think)...!!!

This is becoming embarrassing as mine is nowhere near as good as all the others I've seen... :roll:

Do tell us more about your car in the 'Restoration Projects' section of you get the time...
