Sounds like a good plan, with summer coming you might as well enjoy it.Bluevitesse wrote:Hi GlenGlenM wrote: Well if it's sound underneath and the sills are good that's the main thing. Sounds like just a few cosmetic bits to deal with. Are you going for a re-spray fairly soon?
Glen.
It seems to be solid underneath and the sills look good but there is a lot of filler in the nearside rear arch which goes down to the sill so it's hard to tell about that part right now.
My prioirty is to get it on the road and enjoy it so here is my "to do" list so far - and it will get longer I'm sure:
Joint the club
Change No2 plug lead
Fit new seals and pistons to front brakes
Cure wayward/heavy steering
Fit new rear shocks
OS Ball joints have play
Headlights not working
Rear Indicators not working
Oil pressure guage sticking at 15psi (I hope!)
Temp guage not working
Choke panel loose
C post corrosion
1 x Halogen headlight & 3 sealed beams fitted!
Tune engine, change oil etc.
Change soggy subframe bushes
That should keep me busy for a while, the list for the Vitesse is impressive too and I don't want it to get the hump - at least that is on the road though...........
Glen.
New Dolly Sprint owner - caliper question.

Hi guys
Thanks for all the advice, that UJ does look rather rusty. I am in Liverpool for the weekend so there will be no progress for a while.
Bad timing or what?

Re: New Dolly Sprint owner - caliper question.
A belated welcome to the forum Glen.
Club membership is worth every penny (I've just had to renew myself). I suggest that you renew both calipers and the ones from the Club should be your first choice. I had to replace mine but the Club were out of stock at the time so I got a pair from Wins & Co.
Get a thread started in the "resto" section. We'd all like to see your progress with your Sprint and don't stop asking questions.
