Am sure this has been asked before...
Have been reading up on overdrive removal. It says something needs pressurizing/depressurizing to do this?
I have a spare gear box that I would like to remove the overdrive from. Do I just un-bolt it and see if it comes off, or do I need special tools?
Thanks...

Re: Sprint overdrive removal
Just unbolt it and then use a wedge like a strong wide flat screwdriver or coal chisel at the top on the flat bit of the join.
It will be stuck on the gasket face but should come off okay.
Its the ring of smaller bolts....not the ones between the adaptor plate and gearbox case.
Drain the oil first....or it will get messy.
