Rear Screen Rubber

#1 Post by GrahamFountain »

Hi Guys,

The rear screen rubber is showing a hole in the corner. Where's best to get one, and what issues are there with fitting?

Graham
The 16v Slant 4 engine is more fun than the 3.5 V8, because you mostly drive it on the upslope of the torque curve.

Factory 1977 TR7 Sprint FHC VVC 697S (Now all of, but still needs putting together)
B&Y 73 Dolomite Sprint UVB 274M (kids!)
1970 Maroon 13/60 Herald Convertable (wife's fun car).

Unless you can find NOS, the above is what I would use. It needs to be shortened a little for a Dolomite.
Not cheap but good quality.
(Chris also sells the insertion strip.)

Just spoken with Chris Witor about this and he suggested going to Rimmers instead as he thought they were better and do not need cutting!

He didn't seem overly concerned about loosing money on it so hey Ho!
Come and see some pretty shoddy, slow driving of a really well prepared competition Sprint here!

That's good of Chris to say that. Has anyone here used the Rimmers seals?

I'm pretty sure you will find they all come from Baines.

I went to their website and downloaded the catalogue. I can find the Toledo front windscreen and the plastic chrome insert for the rear (which I'll want), but can't find the rear windscreen rubber. Anybody know which one?
