You are a bit limited due to the pcd of 95.25mm. Marina, tr7, spitfire, meastro, montego, late metro, thats about it without adaptors. As for tyres 155/13 standard, so 175/70/13, 185/70/13 at a push.

I agree that 175 tyres are about as wide as you can go on the 4.5J steelies.
There are a few options for alternative wheels. The Sprint alloys are the easiest option but you would need the 3/8" nuts for your Dolly 1300. The MGF has the same PCD which might give you a few more options.

I havent ever tried it but I think Spit wheels are the wrong offset for a dolomite.

Yo can get spitfire lookalike wheels though that were fitted to Dolly SE's and used up on the last few W plate HL's.
I think these are 5J and also go well with 175/70's

Sprint wheels will give a slightly better ride due to the lower weight. These are 5 and a half J and the right offset.

Spitfire 4 1/2j wheels work fine on a dolly, I have run them with 175/70 tyres on autosolos. And I ran 165/70 on spit/GT6 offset 5 1/2j wheels, again no issues (the tyres were new, came on the wheels and were a bargain!)
I have also run 185 55 15 on mgf alloys, rear arch needed fettling. And a set of winter tyres, 175/65 14 on maestro(mgf spare) wheels, which have a similar offset to normal dolly wheels. Lots fit with no real problems. But when the car does get finished, it will probably run 175/70 13's as they are easily available, cheap, and work very well.
