Does anyone know how to get old cylinder head and gearbox castings refurbished ?
What should I use ??

If you want an excellent finish vapour blasting or glass bead blasting.
If to clean up, wire brush and wd40.......You could use alloy wheel cleaner, it is usually just some acid that will remove any corrosion, but will slowly attack the ali so wash off pretty quickly.

I only use soda blasting for heads and aluminium parts now. The soda washes away easily and wont harm the engine if it gets a bit in there. Where are you based?
