rear parcel shelf stuff

#1 Post by marko »

I'm trying this whole uploading of photos etc from dropbox so am unsure if the pictures will come out. Basically ive put in some 25mm mdf with some speakers, rear seatbelts and a demister vent in it. covered with the closest colour I could find with some wadding underneath. I decided to make covers for the seatbelt reels as they're just bare metal and plastic so Andyj very kindly sent me some spare black card stuff which I used to make the covers with.
the demister vent is a piece of stainless that I sprayed the same colour as the vinyl along with the garish coloured speaker surrounds. the vent is 40x600mm and has a 20mm wide channel routed underneath it. from inside the boot a piece of 38mm pipe connects the vent to a bmw heater blower unit that I got from ebay. the only trouble is that now it's summer and I wont get to test it properly unless I take a kettle out there and boil some water
I've tried to make it look old and kind of original in keeping with the great originality of the car.
feedback is welcome either good or bad and any suggestions are also welcome

Best bet is to try and use IMG code so the pics load up within the page
