Has anyone renewed the bushes on each side of the bell housing were the clutch cross shaft goes through ?
Is it a difficult job ?

No its not difficult. They are a split sprung bush and just drift out.
Moss et al have new ones and they aren't dear.

And you can use 2 bushes at each side as opposed to one (there's enough space for 2).
That way, the shaft is better supported and wears on a different patch on the shaft than it used to do
