Wheel alignment after impact

#1 Post by RJF_70 »

My lad has had someone hit his front wing and wheel! The wheel was bent as it wouldn't roll in a straight line but having replaced both front wheels the drivers side front wheel is definitely angled in slightly at the top. Visually on ramps and with wheel off I cannot for the life of me see where might be damaged causing this. The steering wheel was massively off centre so took it to be tracked and although it's not 100% centered surely garage would have noticed a bent track rod? Apart from swapping all components what would anyone recommend to find out what is causing this? Was going to change the tie bar and track rod end but thinking that the garage would surely of made us aware of this if that was what was causing the wheel angle problem?
Plan to tackle it on saturday but thought I'd ask on here to see most likely culprit of the wheel being angled like that. Would of posted a pic but its on my phone and don't know how to upload off that
Thanks Rich..

Forgot to mention its a Mondeo MK3 2004.

It'll either be a bent lower arm or a bent strut. Look closely at the strut where it meets the hub, you may see disturbed dirt or paint there. A very small crease there is a large amount of wheel movement 300mm away.
