The car was born in 78 – chassis number WK149797DLA, and is a 2 owner car Auto!
The car was Ziebarted on the 21 Feb 1978 and also the seats were scotch guarded, so I guess the first owner wanted it to last as long as possible.
The owner only lived a few miles from work and over a year or so clocked up 1500 miles, but his daughter did not want to be seen in the car so it went into his garage never to be used again.
The chap I got it from saw it in an advert in 99 and decided it would be a bit of fun – he put it in his barn and that is where it lay until he asked me to buy it.
The Ziebart is everywhere and makes the car look terrible, but it has saved it.
The interior is like new, and the seats and carpets are as you would expect
The rear bumper is rusted up , but I have a old new one
The outside paint work has got scabs on it but is not rusted through.
I have had the car running for 3 seconds… but I now need to flush everything out, re grease and go through the car.
The only problem is, it will be a shame to put miles on the thing…
