Sprint Rad Recore

#1 Post by Mad Mart »

I may need to get a Sprint rad recored. I can't seem to find anyone locally. It doesn't necessarily need to be original.
Sprintless for the first time in 35+ years. :boggle2: ... Still Sprintless.

Engines, Gearboxes, Overdrives etc. rebuilt. PM me.

Many places will in ignorance fit a core which is sub standard. GAT Radiators near me know the correct spec for the Sprint; I'll happily act as go between for you, but I think they also mail order...

I remember Applied Radiators nr me came up with some good core suggestions. In the end I got an exchange one from Rimemrs if I remember and it was fine. I've currently opted for an alloy one for my rebuild from Coolex. They made me one up and painted it black. There's pros and cons for alloy rads, in some ways they can be more efficient that copper but in other ways less so. Copper is a better heat conductor arguably but you can design an alloy one with a larger surface area and less weight.
