couriers to Netherlands?
couriers to Netherlands?
I want to ship something to a fellow club member in Holland, does anyone have recommendations for shipping companies/couriers?
Thanks in advance.

Re: couriers to Netherlands?
My first port of call is always myhermes, but when Henk has sent me stuff it's been with DPD.
Come and see some pretty shoddy, slow driving of a really well prepared competition Sprint here!

You may have to check on this, but there is a international shipping arrangement on Ebay which is quite favourable.
Sell in a private auction to your recipient for a pound or few pence.

Thanks Mahesh, good thinking. It seems there is a weight limit of 2Kg, if I'm looking at the right bit.

Re: couriers to Netherlands?
My Hermes has just "lost" a pair of wheel arch repairs I sold to Tony G, or rather the lazy b'stard who was tasked with delivering them couldn't be arsed to make a second attempt. I shall never use them again.

This might be worth a go?
I have used it once for a parcel sent within the UK (which Parcel Force collected and delivered as arranged).
Ian.

Re: couriers to Netherlands?
I've used MyHermes a couple of times without any problems. However, a search for feedback on the their service raises some pretty unfavourable comments. As Alun indicated, the service (or lack of) seems to very much depend on the individual courrier(s) that will be asked to transport the item.xvivalve wrote:My Hermes has just "lost" a pair of wheel arch repairs I sold to Tony G, or rather the lazy b'stard who was tasked with delivering them couldn't be arsed to make a second attempt. MyHermes have not lost anything for me but the last thing that arrived via them took 2 weeks to get here! (from Essex)

Re: couriers to Netherlands?
I used Parcel Hero and they used DPD, less than £15 to ship a prop to Holland. Thanks to everyone for their help.

Re: couriers to Netherlands?
Recommended: shipping costs were very reasonable and shipping duration was only two days!
Thanks again Bill for the effort.
