Rear light bulb holders

#1 Post by rvfrc45 »

Ok Since the Sprint has come back from the body shop I have been doing various jobs.
Well I had one indicator not working on the rear and thought well they are old lets buy 6 new bulb holders from
R---------s b---s.
They just don't fit very well, do not fit in nice and flush. But they do look the same but almost look like they will
pop out at any opportunity.
Even tried fitting them in a spare lamp unit off the car which is the same.
Has anybody had this problem!!!
cheers Gary.

Supplier of last resort and then new old stock only.

I would just dip your old ones in your corrosion cleaning jollop of choice and do a bit of contact bending.
I have plenty of 45 year old ones still working...12 to be exact.

I did find some fitted more easily than others, but with a bit of adjustment got there in the end and they seem okay now.
