Heya everyone! Hope you're well!
Looking into replacing the rubber around the rear windscreen as water is leaking into the boot, however Autoglass reckons the glass has a more than 50% chance of breaking. Furthermore there doesn't seem to be replacement rear windscreens available anywhere.
Does anyone have any advice on what to do? Any help much appreciated!

I reckon Autoglass are 100% wrong! 
They obviously don't want to do the job.
Get a replacement seal (will have to be the type which needs the plastic trim insert) and have a chat to your nearest classic-friendly garage. Or......do it yourself.......

I have already bought part 913937, described simply as 'rear screen rubber'; hopefully that will do. Definitely not brave enough to tackle it myself!
I will try and contact some local garages over the next few days and see what I can find. Just worried that if it does decide to break that I have no alternative! I have contacted a few people breaking dolomites, asking if they would be prepared for me to get someone to remove the glass from their vehicles if necessary. Fingers crossed I won't need it!

I'd rather do a rear screen than a front one. They normally seem to come out quite easily. I do have at least one spare one here though I am a fair way away.

There is a slight chance of breakage but if you take your time and be gentle then they do come out quite easily. I've done dozens. I also have 2 or 3 spares but am a fair distance away.

Rear screen rubbers don't tend to leak in my experience, unless they are really cracked. More likely is a leak around the triangular chrome end finisher ( 708551) at the base of the surrounding chrome trim. Its a simple fix with silicone sealant.
But if it is the actual rubber, then I recently extracted my rear screen with help no problem. It is very easy. I was swapping my old rear screen with all the dead heating elements for a good one.
