Indicators / hazards not working

#1 Post by simonhorton »

My indicators and hazards are not working

Would this be the flasher unit , fuse or the stalk ??

These work -
heater motor
clock
horn
wipers
wiper washer

Thank you

The indicators and hazards have separate supply and control, if both aren't working you should look at the earthing. Start with the bullet connectors on the front...

When the hazards are switched on they cut the power to the indicator circuit. Take a look at the indicator diagnosis guide on the Dolly Wiki

You need a multi meter to check the various likely points of failure. If both hazards and indicators have gone awol I'd look
at the hazard switch contacts. Have a look at the wiring diagram and you can see the likely suspects.

Fuse box is always a candidate.

That will be the earth terminal on the back of the light unit.
The flasher is earthing out through the sidelight bulb at the moment....
