I ended up buying a Davies Craig 12" electric fan http://daviescraig.com.au/product/dcsl1 ... rt-no-0062 and a controller kit. http://daviescraig.com.au/product/therm ... rt-no-0400
I was WAY wrong on the price I quoted in an earlier post, with the whole thing including postage and GST totalling AU$277. (148 UK Pounds) (Which makes the Kenlowe product look much better).
Its in the post right now and I expect I'll be installing it this coming weekend.
The Davies Craig Electric Water-pumps look interesting. http://daviescraig.com.au/category/electric-water-pumps

Maybe the Kenlow is marginally cheaper, but the Davies Craig controller looks a lot better than the poke down the side of the hose job with a 1970's Tricity 3 ring cooker knob on the controller!

I'm planning on using something more like the Revotec electronic controller, not that cheap at £72 thought I must admit.
Current fleet: '75 Sprint, '73 1850, Daihatsu Fourtrak, Honda CG125, Yamaha Fazer 600, Shetland 570 (yes it's a boat!)

Past fleet: Triumph 2000, Lancia Beta Coupe, BL Mini Clubman, Austin Metro, Vauxhall Cavalier MK1 & MK2, Renault 18 D, Rover 216 GSI, Honda Accord (most expensive car purchase, hated, made out of magnetic metal as only car I've ever been crashed into...4 times), BMW 318, Golf GTi MK3 16v x 3

Why not get a hose adapter and fit the rad switch off a modern car?
