A few pictures of last nights cleaning efforts.

And a little bit of filling.

And then Tonight saw some etch primer going on the inner arch.

Image

Image

Image

Plenty more sanding and filling to be done yet but I had to get something on the bare steel:)

Ok. Progress is a little slow as cleaning the paint from the engine bay is the most boring and arduous task so far! But it's coming:D

Image

Also both inner wings have now been seem sealed and are almost ready for some stone chip!

Image

Image

The other exciting this is that my steering boss arrived:D got a bit over excited as I immediately put it all together :D

Image

Image

Image

Image

It's a snap off boss too 8)

More to come when the boring engine bay stripping is finally finished haha

Yeah where's the beer bottle!!

Seriously though, that's looking good. It's a good how to on the front valance panels.

Love the QR on the steering wheel. Is it the Lifeline one? I had a look at one for the MG, they came in at something like £250 for one that fits a Moto-lita though.

Ha cheers guys. Beer bottle is in the scuttle panel;)

The snap off boss is an eBay one. Think it was about £30. Very well made though:)
More tomorrow!

Tonight saw my uncle filling and sanding the front panel whilst I started cleaning the offside footwell.

Pics as usual! This is before.

Image

Then took the bitumen padding stuff off.

Image

This is a "repair"

Image

Fibreglass!

And then I hit it with the knot wheel!

Image

Image

Image

And then hit it with a cutting disc!

Image

Hopefully tomorrow will see that foot well all welded up. Will also get some pictures of the front end as it's looking amazing now!

Not a huge amount to look at today even though we spent about 5 hours out there. I started repairing the off side front footwell whilst my uncle carried on in the engine bay!

Image

No pics of the engine bay as I totally forgot!

On another note my brms may be for sale soon as I'm thinking of going for something wider.

Ok lots done today. Got the passenger inner Wing top finished.

Template taking shape.

Image

Image

Convert that to steel.

Image

Image

Image

And weld in place.

Image

Image

Image

Then some grinding.

Image

Then some some filler.

Image

Image

Image

Well happy with that.

Also started on the passenger foot well. This ones a bit worse.

Image

Image

This patch was screwed on.

Image

Which revealed this when removed.

Image

Which after some cleaning ended up looking like this.

Image

Image

Which after loads more cleaning and de rusting ended up looking like this.

Image

Image

Happy so far with that. Plenty more to do with it though.

Also took a pic of the engine bay which I thought I'd throw in:D
