Next question....
as the weather looking "mixed" on tuesday which leads me on to facilities at CC. Are there pit garages for us to use? or is it a case of take the pop-up tent to chuck all my tat in?
What an excellent day. Much fun had by all, and good to mete Ian, Mike Mart and Steve.
What was odd was that I had the only spitfire there! Still, it went OK, but took me ages to learn the track (I found it lacked distinguishing features!) and I also need to remember to use all the throttle travel, but apparently my times improved as teh day went on. The torrential downpour early afternoon literally put a dampener on things for a while, but the track dried out, by which times many (most?) of the TRs seemed to have gone, leaving us with as much tracktime as we wanted. Excellent!
I am well off the pace of some of the other drivers, but I am working on it. Being an old git who started trackdays recently doesn't help!
Quite looking forward to the TRR day at Blyton, which happens to be my birthday. And that will call for cake!
Yes, Good Day out. Jolly good meeting all the enthusiasts again. Good grief, was it wet after lunch ! The track may have been slippery but the viewing areas were worse. I've got the bruise to prove it.

And yes the pits entry lane was really that deep in water.
We also saw the nice green Toledo NAC. Where have we seen this one before ? It looked in really nice condition.
Mart, Mike and I all had dashcams and I have a couple of minutes of assembled video that Tony took on my video camera.
It might be a while before they get here though, cos it takes my computer 45+ minutes to upload a 122 second video segment to u-tube!

Great day out, always nice to meet some super people. Real mix.
Took me two sessions to get any appreciation of the circuit, there are very few distinguishing features at castle combe. Glad i had my uniroyal rain tyres on! The wet session was fun and i have to say the tyres were very impressive.
It was a 500 mile round trip for me, Congleton to Lincoln then down to Castle Combe, then back to Congleton. With 10 miles to go my R1 fuel pump started to play up...had to pull over twice to get some sort of response from it, but managed to nurse it home, i think i might have over flowed it...
Fantastic day with a great bunch who helped me out of a couple of fixes. The main one being my steering not attached to the dash at 100 mph. A couple of bolts and a change of pants and I was away again..
I uploaded one of my sessions but the camera fell off half way through! Unfortunately i didn't film the one of me and Mart getting a bit close which would have been good. Mart, did you? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jfql_nTybuQ
