Fascia wiring loom warning cluster connector

#1 Post by DavePoth »

Hello all, long time no see!

:bluewave:

I'm having a bit of trouble with my new wiring loom for the dashboard. The warning cluster connector is NLA according to Autosparks, so I need to pull the one on the old loom off to fit to the new one. only one of the wires will come out, and the other ones are all stuck fast. Presumably I'm missing a trick here, but does anyone know what the trick is?

I had to do this when I changed from the late type to the early type. It might be documented in my resto thread. If not I have the wires loose from the HRW warning light so I can work out how I did it before.

there is a little tag on the back of the connector, you need a small jewller's flat bladed screw driver to depress it while puling at the same time, not much effort is required, so if it doesn't come out the tag may not be fully depressed.

Yes just use a small screwdriver to ping the barb back and they come clean out. I seem to remember it was quite easy. Just be sure to remember which wire goes where, I had a spare one still attached so used it as a reference.

Cheers Mark, found the right sort of screwdriver and they all came out with a bit of a wiggle. I also remembered to write down which colour goes where. :D
