With my recently acquired sprint/weber inlet manifold, im thinking of fuel injection via throttle bodies. Obvious choices are Jenvey or similar, but would modern bike injectors do the job too?
Not sure if 45mm will be enough or too much, Im aiming for 180+ engine hp.
Any set ups existing here?
Cheers
Tony

Re: Which throttle bodies?
40-45 will be fine.
I guess you could make an adapter and respace bike TBs to fit the manifold fairly easily?

Re: Which throttle bodies?
yes Im happy to adapt the spacing as required. I looked at a set of gsxr 750 bodies yesterday which are 40mm at the manifold side. They had the advantage of being removable and spacing done individually. Some sets ive seen pics of are a double plus a double so cant be easily spaced.
Id need to know the injector specs for flow really to determine the max flow to calculate the potential power.

Aye,....
I have looked into this EFI conversion business a lot and am gathering parts to go single throttle body/plenum.
For the injectors I gather you should be fitting something that is from an engine producing the BHP you're aiming for.
Don't go for ye olde fashioned low impedance injectors though.....
An adjustable PRV ( pressure relief valve) will give you the scope to adjust the pressure and therefore flow rate, if necessary.
Most current car systems work on 3 bar I gather.
For multiple throttle bodies, getting them to work together is the difficulty. Obviously Jenvey offer a reliable off the shelf solution
but enterprising folk have done their own thing.
There is a lot on the Sideways Forum.....
Under construction, see post 23 for bike throttle bodies....http://sideways-technologies.co.uk/foru ... mk3/page-2
A big read but see what happened with converting existing inlet manifolds.....http://sideways-technologies.co.uk/foru ... k3-in-aus/
