#1 Post by simonhorton »

Thanks

I had exactly the same problem with the Rimmers diff gasket, i ended up using the old one and the new Rimmers one together , if i have to replace it again i would just buy some proper gasket material and cut out my own :)

I posed this question the other week.

As it happens I found an offcut of high quality gasket paper at work and made my own. I also used some Heldite on the faces and the gasket. I haven't filled it with oil yet so I can't say if it has worked but the paper I used was very good, Novus brand which has nitrile mixed in. Fortunately I had an original one which actually fitted to use as a template. It was a bit fiddly to cut out, especially the holes but the result was pleasing.
