Had to do a front wheel bearing on my 1500 this morning, everything went well for a change and in little under an hour I was re-assembling, Almost done and refitting the caliper with a gentle tap from rubber mallet something dropped onto the floor!! It was the subframe cup which had rusted through, after fitting a new one I thought about it and have decided that it was a sign as driving someone to their prom on Friday and it's as though something told me to do it as I had no intentions of doing it or even checking it!
Anyway whichever it was, it was a lucky thing to happen and a coincidence that I had one that I hadn't yet used on my 1850! Not saying I believe in any other beings or anything just a definite weird happening! I don't usually think about things like that but this just made me think a bit about it!

One usually falls off in the road and its best not to ignore it or the other one will join it in a few months, which can lead to some
interesting heavy steering as the sub frame drops and the intermediate shaft takes the strain....
Go for the flat bottomed polybush...much better idea.

Note from Admin: sadly Jon passed away in February 2018 but his humour and wealth of knowledge will be fondly remembered by all. RIP Jonners.
Link to those Jonners? I had a nos one for the other side on my 1850, but hadn't got round to doing o/s yet so luckily I had one at home and is on, take it the cup is the same just a different bush?
