Er, make sure you apply the handbrake so it doesn't roll off your drive?

Re: Toledo 2dr
Congratulations on your purchase. I think a detailed reply might need to know how you intend to use it.
Is it a concours specimen that will be kept in a heated garage ?
Is it a race / rally car ?
Will this be a daily driver ?
Or is it a Project car that needs work ?
Tony.

Re: Toledo 2dr
It is a rolling project, quite solid and is MOT'd till Jan 17.
Its nowhere near concourse and never will be. Looking just to add to the look of it really sprint wheels, chin spoiler possibly twin headlamps etc.
Needs paint here and there.
Just hoping to have a bit of fun in it really.

To fit Sprint wheels you will need to source a set of early Sprint wheel nuts. You MUST use the correct Sprint nuts as they are critical for locating the wheels correctly on the hubs; these are scarce, and unless you fall lucky, are rising in value when they do change hands. You can buy new from certain suppliers, but they are remanufactured and relatively expensive. Sprint wheels however are readily available.
The front bib spoiler is an easy fit and again are fairly readily available second hand; prices vary, so don't necessarily buy the first you are offered.
Twin headlights can be fitted, but you'd need to adapt the inner valance so the backs of the lights will fit (or change the ends of the inner valance completely using the relevant club repair sections (£54 each side) effectively turning your inner valance to the twin lamp one. This can be done from inside the wheel arch as demonstrated by James 467 in his restoration thread. You'd then need the headlamp mounting panels (£38 each side from the Club), a pair of outer bowls and adjuster rings, a pair of inner adjustment rings, the sealed beams or halogen conversion (wiring in a relay an important item for the latter), a pair of radiator grilles and finally the outer aluminium bezels.

Re: Toledo 2dr
I second what Alun has said above.
How about starting a thread in the "resto" section? As well as sharing your progress with us, it is useful for documenting the work you have done. Don't forget to join the Club. The benefits are worth every penny of the membership fee and you have to be a member to be able to buy the club panels.
Welcome to the forum, by the way.

Thanks for your advice guys it's much appreciated. I will be joining the club at some point. when you say Club panels. What panels are available?
I could do with o/s rear & front arch repair panel if they do them. Or even front wings.
Think I may leave the headlamps original.
Will put some pics on once I get going with it.

Re: Toledo 2dr
I stress you need EARLY Sprint nuts for a Toledo; there are two different threads of Sprint nuts/studs and the later ones will not fit a Toledo.
