When late Brian Kitley did build it for his wife I seriously would check the brakes and steering.

When I got mine the automatic gearbox appeared to have a major leak. Once it had discharged a substantial amount of ATF onto the garage floor the level read correctly and no more leak.

The late Mr K had a somewhat mixed reputation shall we say, so I guess the oil leaks are par for the course.
Ive been the rectifier of a few of his body shop bodges, so I hope he did his wife's properly.
I suspect yours is Flamenco red too, being on an S plate.
Looks a nice one...try and keep it dry inside.

At risk of making myself unpopular, I never had any issues with Brian Kitley his work always seemed good to me and kept my car on the road for me when Money was tight in the 80s. He is the reason my car still exists, and probably many others. I found he always gave me, a spotty teenager, time and was very generous in his pricing. I, for one, was very sad to here of his passing. I understand some have had issues with him in the past and his views were not always mainstream, but the man is no longer with us so I think we should refrain from the derogatory comments and accept he was passionate about Dolomites as we all are. Sorry and I certainly don't want to upset anyone. RIP BK.

That risk I can take also but do not see it that way. I never had any work done but for some reason at the few events I was in the UK Brian was there also and we had interesting conversations when we met. The last time was a few months before his death and his biggest concerns were then that much dolomite knowledge was going to be lost when the oldies were going to retire. But three Dutch youngsters full of dolomite did made his day.
