Rear ARB brackets

#1 Post by SprintMWU773V »

I've put some parts out and according to the parts book at least I am missing two small spacers which go between the ARB and the trailing arms. I don't remember taking any off and I can't find any.

Anyone know if these are actually fitted/needed? I dare say if it's just a spacer I could make one easily enough if I knew the thickness.

I asked the same question a few years back when I fitted mine back on the Sprint and when I fitted an ARB to my Dolomite 1300, part number 154447A/R.
I was told that they were never fitted.

Part number 154447? I think I have one somewhere, removed from a late 1850 I broke up years ago. But the parts list says AR, "as required" and they really aren't, since the bar will stretch a bit when you tighten the bolts and take up any slack!
