Internal door surround trim..

#1 Post by georgethompson730 »

Don't know the correct name for it, some say Fur Flex? , It's the trim on the internal edge of the door surround. Can anyone point me in the direction of a supplier. I've had a sample from Wollies but its metal on the inside and I think it will be a pain to fit around the corners, or has so done had experience the this stuff?

Well that's the other issue when going new. I understand my trim is chestnut, fitted to a Brooklands. Looking at new they come in either dark brown, that doesn't look right or cinnamon, that looks more right but still not convinced.

Try Phoenix Supplies...

Not sure if they will have the correct colour though.

I'm not sure there is a replacement out there, I had almost decided on a 'U' edge trim in Cinnamon from Wollies but it doesn't appear to fill the gap between the edge and the door. They kindly sent two samples and I struggled to sort the 90 deg. Corner since they have a metal inset as the gripper. Am I the only one who has had this problem? As my well looked after originals have just fallen apart through age.
