Not strictly relevant, but I've a painting of Otley market clock tower sitting right straight in front of me as I type this!

Put me down for this Dave. As you know I attended last year with my Dolomite and I have to say it was one of the best shows I have ever attended. Displays included busses, lorries, military, steam engines, vintage and classic, with cars ranging in value from hundreds to 250k +. It is so popular over 100 entries were turned away.

A real heavy cast brass plaque is also available for entrants. I think this year its £4.00 with all profits going to the children's charity the event supports and as entry for exhibitors is free, unlike other shows, I would like you to look into ordering one of these also. I am sure others attending on our stand may also wish to purchase one.

Early replies are recommended. Last year another club I am a member of applied for a stand which was confirmed only to find having met outside the ground to drive in in convoy that there was no stand for them as demand had been too high and had to go into the general display area. Because they all drove in together it wasn't so bad for them but if they hadn't they would have been scattered around a very large field.

I would certainly recommend this show and suggest it is considered for NDD or even a second late season NDD.

Bob, I'm open to the idea of having this show as NDD so I might have to change the title of this thread later on! There's the West Yorkshire TSSC meeting tomorrow night so I'll see what shows they have planned before I make a decision. The only thing that puts me off having it as NDD is it being so late in the season and it is close to the TDCIR but I won't rule it out.

Bob, do you want a plaque? As you've said, it will be £4 per plaque. I like the idea of a 2nd NDD late in the season

The deadline for entries is 31st July so please let me know if you want to attend. I've already printed out the entry form so I can get it filled in. I'll bring it with me to the next meeting.

Bob has suggested that I get my club entry in sooner so I'll get it in at the end of May so we're guaranteed a club stand and avoid the inevitable last minute rush. If anyone's interested in attending please put your name down even if you're not 100% certain you can make it. I've only got 4 names so far.

Oh FFS! Nigel has e-mailed me back to confirm he hasn't received my Club entry (down to good old Royal Fail no doubt). I'll have to e-mail him to see if he can get us in at the last minute. So much for trying to get it done in good time. This is looking doubtful and my car probably won't be ready in time either.
