Does anyone know the correct length for the pushrod for a Sprint slave cylinder ?, I'm having problems after replacing the slave with the clutch biting point being about a inch from the floor, I used the old push rod which has seen better days and has washers welded either side to take up the wear in the main fork where the clevis is, I thought I would treat myself to a new push rod from Fitchetts and bleed the system, the new one can be adjusted to length so needs adjusting to the correct length, I could of course adjust it to the same size as the old one but I would like to eliminate the old pushrod as being the correct/incorrect length, I did see reference to 7cm for a pushrod but that was for a 1500hl slave and seems way to short as the new one from Fitchetts will not adjust down to 7cm ( 2.75 inches )
I would make the adjustable one the same size but then check that your cross shaft isnt going too far before working the release
mechanism inside the bell housing.
You could have a deteriorated weld on the cross shaft or the dreaded broken wedge-lock pin.
Hope not.....also any air in the system wont help.

Note from Admin: sadly Jon passed away in February 2018 but his humour and wealth of knowledge will be fondly remembered by all. RIP Jonners.
The weld is ok Jon, Was done many moons ago , might try bleeding again as tyre feeding the ezi bleed almost run out of air, in the meantime if anyone know the correct length for the push rod
Sprint slave pushrod from centreline of clevis/hole to rounded end that contacts with the piston is 9 cm. That is measuring the one I have conveniently in the kitchen, I have several others in the garage I can check later...
