Heater cable part and ignition key
Heater cable part and ignition key
Hi does anyone have the clip that holds the outer sleeve on the cable to the fan blower next to the outer lever. Mine has disappeared and don't want to try and concoct something else if I can help it. Another dolly is now ready for the road this Sunday after 20 months of resurrection. Thanks if anyone can with this part. Also anyone know where to get an ignition key cut. A guy on eBay couldn't help. Something about no blanks available.

Re: Heater cable part and ignition key
I think I have some left, a chap had a couple off me at TDCIR last weekend; need to find the right box and see if any there...cable clips that is.
There are at least two profiles of ignition key; a good locksmith should still have blanks...

Those clips are very common. Used on choke cables on early strombreg cars and stags too.
Moss will sell you new ones if Alun cant find one.

Re: Heater cable part and ignition key
With regard to keys, I bought 8 blanks off ebay last year (only ordered 4 - bargain!) They were labelled as Stag but hey, they are pretty much all the same. Once armed with the blanks, my local locksmith was perfectly happy to cut a key from my original.
I still have a couple of spare blanks if you are interested, about £3 each plus £1 postage.
BTW the same blank worked on my 73 Toledo and my 78 Sprint.

Have you tried Timpsons
I just went into Timpsons at my local supermarket and they ordered a blank.
Went back two day later and for £10 I had a new key, works an treat and the fob is a far better size than the old huge brass key!
Regards
